Tell us a little bit about Pure Beauty

Pure Beauty is a salon that strives to offer the best treatments in a homely, comfortable environment. We want our customers to feel at home in our (surprisingly numerous) treatment rooms, while using products that are used in the top spas across the world, including Image and YonKa skin care products and Lycon wax. The salon first began over six years ago, since which we have built up a lovely local client base.

What makes Pure Beauty unique is the core staff. The owner Hilary will go above and beyond to make sure a client gets their appointment at their requested time and remembers everyone's names, faces and specifications. Inna, the head therapist is truly excellent in all aspects of her work - although her specialty is a treatment unique to Pure Beauty, an anti-cellulite massage formulated by herself involving various techniques from Eastern Europe. Nobody leaves disappointed after a course of these massages which are only available at Pure Beauty. Finally there is Luci, who is the main Eyelash and Tan Technician (amongst other things). She can do a spray tan with her eyes closed and can transform people's faces with a bespoke set of eyelash extensions in just one hour!

What do you love most about working there?

The clients are great. Whether it's a young professional, a Fulham yummy-mummy or a fabulous celebrity, they always have story to share and keep us entertained.

What is your most popular treatment?

Our most popular treatment id probably waxing, especially our Brazilians which are nearly pain-free thanks to our expertly trained girls and the amazing Lycon wax we use. Personaly though, my favourite treatment is the The Image O2 facial. It is only an hour long but the results are simply fantastic. It is the perfect pre-party skin prep!

Do you have any funny or memorable stories from your time at Pure Beauty?

There are really quite a few. Last year one girl gave a male client a spray tan, ended up seeing him on holiday and letting the cat out of the bag in front of his friends... Oops!

At Douglas & Gordon, we love local. Why do you Fulham?

Fulham is just fantastic. The atmosphere, the people, the boutiques, cafes, restaurants and bars are all amiable and it is such a pretty area - especially when the sun is out! We have so many favourite spots around Fulham. To keep fit, we like to pop to Paola's BodyBarre on Rosaline Road for some hardcore pilates/ballet fusion classes and yoga or to Transition Zone on Heathman's Road to be put through our paces on the Power Plate! The Duke on the Green is a fantastic spot for a cocktail and bite to eat - or if we're feeling a bit healthier, a juice from Moosh hits the spot.
