Behind the Scenes: Emma Dalrymple
Tell us a little bit about yourself. Where did you grow up? Whereabouts do you live now?
I grew up on the Wiltshire-Gloucestershire border and came to London in 2003. I live in Earls Court with my family but am lucky enough to have a cottage in Wiltshire where we spend weekends.
How long have you worked for D&G? What’s the greatest thing about working for them?
I have been at Douglas & Gordon since 2005 and I love working with the team in Chelsea, we’re like one big family.
When you’re not in the office or showing people around, what do you do in your spare time? Any interesting hobbies we should know about?
I spend most of my spare time out of London in the countryside with my family. I also love the mountains and skiing. We spend a fair amount of time in on the West coast of Scotland where we have a small family-run holiday cottage business.
What questions do you most commonly get asked by clients/customers?
“Where’s the nearest police station?”
What do you love about the area? What are your favourite hangouts in Chelsea?
My morning coffee is convenience led and so I generally go to the Starbucks by the office.
What would you say to anyone looking to move into the area?
The property in Chelsea is certainly not cheap, but if you can afford it, it really is a lovely area to live in! Chelsea has something for everyone – from great shops, museums and galleries, parks and fantastic restaurants and bars.
If you could wave a magic wand and change one thing about the property market, what would it be?
More property for our agents to sell!
